Beta Beta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. (ΑΦΑ)

The Beta Beta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc along with the Beta Beta Lambda Alpha Phi Alpha Educational Foundation, Inc. will oversee and operate the Knights of Gold (KOG) Program for high school freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors. The Knights of Gold (KOG) Program is conducted under the fraternity’s National Program “Go to High School, Go to College” Program, and is geared toward motivating students from underserved communities to continue their education, and helping students succeed in high school and college.

The Knights of Gold (KOG Program) will include but not limited to workshops on topics for success such as goal setting, time management, career choices, financial aid, study skills, interviewing skills, college life experiences, test – taking skills, financial responsibility, managing money, and social outings.


Mission and Vision

The Knights of Gold (KOG) Program will help youth males by creating a safe environment where young teenagers can learn about and explore their peer and adult relationships as well as creating and building leadership qualities that prepares them for real life.


The Knights of Gold (KOG) Program is a youth development and leadership training program where young teenage males are mentored by professional men.  The Knights of Gold (KOG) Program has a high school curriculum and is based on preparing young high school aged men for the next step in life.


  • Offer FCAT, ACT and SAT tutorial session for young males 14-18 years of age for college preparedness
  • Motivates young men to make decisions about their goals and values, and act in ways that support their decisions.
  • Builds young men’s skills through role-playing. Utilizes appropriate male role models and mentors.
  • Project Alpha Curriculum
  • Field Trip to local museums, attractions, and college tours (no cost)
  • Community Service Projects (Hands on Miami)
  • Annual Youth Summit for NPHC Youth Groups
  • Oratorical Presentations/ Evaluation (Eta Delta Chapter at UM)
  • College Life (Delta Psi Chapter at FMU & Tau Delta at FIU)
  • MLK Program/ Parade
  • March of Dimes (march 4 babies)
  • American Cancer Society (relay 4 life)
  • Albert Swann Family Gathering
  • FMU High School Black Male Baccalaureate Service
  • Annual Graduation for Seniors Program / Banquet
