BETA BETA LAMBDA
The Knights of Gold Mentorship Program is a structured youth leadership and development initiative serving young men ages 10 through 18. The program focuses on building character, academic excellence, and leadership through consistent mentorship, community engagement, and opportunities that prepare students for success beyond middle school and high school.
The Knights of Gold Mentoring Program was created in affect to support the implementation of the Beta Beta Lambda chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha's "Go-To-High-School, Go-To-College" national program. Spearheaded by its founder James Gay in 1975 and revived in 2010 by brother Anderson Elridge and the "A-team" the program ensured that young men have access to positive role models, structured guidance, and real world exposure that expands their vision for the future.
As the program continues to grow, Knights of Gold is expanding its reach by building partnerships with educators, community leaders, and organizations that share a commitment to youth development and leadership.

“Knights of Gold has been instrumental in my transition into manhood. Through mentorship and service, I learned discipline, leadership, and the importance of serving my community. The Brothers provided resources and guidance that shaped my academic and personal success. They provided us with a numerous number of resources to help us succeed and I am forever grateful for them for showing me the ropes of how to be a man in today’s society. The Brothers taught us how to lead and when you lead, you lead with confidence. We were cared for like we were their own children and for that I will forever be proud to say that I am a Knight”.

“The Knights of Gold Mentorship Program showed me what it truly means to be a man and a brother. The mentorship and lessons I received prepared me to navigate adulthood with confidence. I wish I had more time in the program, but during the time I spent with my fellow mentees and mentors, I learned valuable lessons about adulthood and how to adapt to the challenges and changes I face in daily life. The relationships built within the program provided tools and perspective that continue to guide me today.”

“My journey with Knights of Gold began my freshman year at Miami Northwestern Senior High School. At that time, I was just a young man with potential but Knights of Gold helped shape that potential into purpose. Knights of Gold helped transform my potential into purpose. From freshman year through graduation, I was surrounded by men who challenged me academically and personally. The program provided structure, accountability, and exposure that prepared me for college and professional success. Knights of Gold did not simply guide me, it altered the trajectory of my life. Programs like this are not expenses; they are investments. I am living proof of its return.”
